My work reflects my life; most of my art is based on reference photos taken by myself wherever I may be. Many of my paintings are from my trips to UK, Colorado, California, Peru. and Prescott, where I have a vacation home. Flowers are a recurring theme in my work in both watercolor and acrylic, painting them has taught me so much about depth and edges and it has been great practice for painting portraits and the landscape. I change my working method and medium to suit the subject matter; my painting journey began with watercolor and I still work in this medium, as I enjoy the interaction of pigment and water. I create collages with acrylic gelliplate monoprints, I love the vibrancy of the colors and patterns I can obtain this way.
